The 2024 »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Electric Cooperative Statehouse Reception

Leaders representing 17 »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ electric cooperatives dedicated a day to meeting with influential state legislators and officials, focusing on discussions centered around grid reliability, kilowatt-hour tax reform, and opportunities for New ERA funding aimed at promoting reliability within the energy sector.

The day began with a legislative briefing from Anna Perry, Governor Mike DeWine’s energy policy expert, followed by two separate panels of House Members who sit on the House Public Utilities Committee, including: Chair , Reps. , , , , and .Ìý

Lunch followed with 15 members of the »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Senate. Senate Energy and Public Utilities Chair and Senator addressed the group.

Co-op leaders finished the advocacy day with a legislative networking reception in the Statehouse Rotunda with Republican and Democratic members of the House and Senate along with their staff.Ìý
