2024 is looking much the same as the last several years for training opportunities at COLT, whether through the apprenticeship program, journeyman refreshers, or COLD visits in the field. This spring, 11 new hires completed their COLT 1000/1050 classes, and currently 13 new hires are enrolled to begin the COLT program later this fall with an expectation for that number to grow before the start of fall classes. With the additions of the 2024 new hires, COLT will have 150 plus apprentices yet again for the 2024 calendar year, with 90% of the apprenticeship enrollment coming from our 24 »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ cooperatives. Currently 30 journeymen are working towards completing the 5 class JRP program. In 2024, COLT will run 48 weeks of apprenticeship classes, 10 weeks of JRP classes, and conduct 60 in the field COLD coaching visits.
