Federated Insurance facilitated a 4-day culture of safety strategy lab at OEC's statewide office.
Federated has received the report back from the consultant and is currently reviewing it and revising recommendations as needed. The ST&LP department will then review and provide input. The results will be delivered and reviewed at the July 16, 2024, OCSA meeting to be held at the OEC offices in Touchstone A.
The impactful sessions caused a number of cooperatives to ask about the possibility of facilitating the same survey with their own linemen.
The ST&LP department responded by eliminating Dwight Miller’s scheduled safety meeting and replacing it with a 3-hour intense survey session where the linemen at each cooperative answer the same questions using the Mentimeter format.
The local results are then being sent back to the co-op with the manager’s report with the understanding that we may be able to compile the data and work with it strategically at a statewide level.Â
