Former Consolidated Trustee Leaves Legacy of Commitment to Community

MOUNT GILEAD — Hearts are heavy at Consolidated Cooperative at the passing of member Charles Lynn, who served the cooperative as a faithful trustee 1979-2018.

“A compassionate man, Charles threw his heart into his duties,” said co-op President and CEO, Phil Caskey. “He represented Consolidated with great integrity as the second longest serving trustee for 39 years.”

Charles was born January 10, 1932, on the family farm near Waldo, ƹ϶Ƶ. He graduated from Waldo High School in 1949, and Charles spent the next 73 years nurturing a family, tilling the soil, and raising cattle, sheep, horses, ponies, goats, and innumerable other farm animals.

In addition to farming, Charles drove school bus for Buckeye Valley local schools for 34 years. He also served his community through numerous boards and agencies including Consolidated Cooperative, Peru Township Board of Trustees, Morrow County Fair Board and Ashley Fire Board. He was recently inducted into the Delaware County 4H Hall of Fame and recognized as an outstanding fair supporter by the Morrow County Fair.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his beloved family, wife Patricia, and children, Joyce Zimmer and Randy Lynn, as well as the many others whose lives he touched.
