Rachel Milcic, Brady Kuhlman, Harrison Metcalf, Maxwell Hathaway, and Casey Kauf have each been awarded $1,000 Next Generation (Cooperative Intern) Scholarships from »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ's Electric Cooperatives. The Cooperative Intern Scholarship recognizes exceptional college students who have served as interns at »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ electric co-ops, and their affiliates.
Milcic served as a mechanical engineering intern for the Cardinal Operating Company. Kuhlman served as an electrical engineering intern for Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative. Metcalf served as a safety department intern, Hathaway served as an IT department intern, and Kauf served as an electrical engineering intern for »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Electric Cooperatives.Â
The purposes of this scholarship are to familiarize young adults with the cooperative culture and principles, foster career opportunities available in the rural electric industry, as well as to inspire young adults to pursue rural electric industry careers and values.
